After the application deadline of September 22, 2024 applicants will be notified by email of their selection for an interview not later than Thursday, September 26, 2024 with interviews to occur on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Students selected for an interview will receive detailed information about this process.

The applicant will need to bring the following to the interview:

· an official OR unofficial high school transcript through 11th grade

· two letters of reference from persons who know the applicant well

We encourage students applying for the Star Scholarship to be in contact with their references so that they are prepared to have the reference letter with them at the interview.

Interviews will be approximately 15 minutes.. The selection committee will meet individually with each candidate. Candidates will have an opportunity to share their future goals and academic successes.

Applicants will be notified of the committee’s recommendation. The student selected to be the Chapter BW Scholar must complete the National P.E.O. online application within 30 days of receiving the link to do so. This application will include the student profile, student activity and award charts, original one page essay, two reference letters, and an unofficial high school transcript (through the 11th grade/junior year). The student/applicant receives the forms and instructions for all of these in the link she is sent once a chapter has recommended her. The scholarship mentor will be available to answer any questions and provide support in this process.
