P.E.O. Chapter BW of Salina is proud to offer two scholarships to Saline county women who wish to pursue post-secondary education.
Chapter BW STAR Scholar
The Chapter BW Star Scholarship recognizes outstanding young women who demonstrate excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular involvement, and community service, while showing strong potential for future success. This award is designed to support graduating high school seniors as they take the next step in their educational journey.
The recipient of the Chapter BW Star Scholarship is also nominated for the P.E.O. National STAR Scholarship, a prestigious $2,500 award given to high school senior women pursuing post-secondary education.
While the national award is highly competitive and not guaranteed, Chapter BW ensures that its nominee receives scholarship support: if she is not selected for the National STAR Scholarship, she will still receive a Chapter BW scholarship.

Peggy Frank Memorial Scholarship
The Peggy Frank Memorial Scholarship was established by Peggy’s family to honor her dedication, compassion, and commitment to helping young women achieve their educational dreams. For many years, Peggy gave her heart and soul to the Chapter BW Scholarship Committee, thoughtfully working to identify candidates who embodied leadership, academic excellence, community service, and the potential for future success.
Her husband shared, “Peggy had her heart and soul in selecting the right candidates for the Chapter BW STAR Scholar. Peggy’s commitment to the scholarship committee gave us, the family and I, the inspiration to continue her legacy with the scholarship fund in her name.”
Through this memorial scholarship, Peggy’s legacy of service and belief in the power of education continues, providing future generations of young women with the support they need to pursue their goals and make a lasting impact.
